Belize & Costa Rica adventure & honeymoon travel experts

Central America offers a special mix of eco and adventure travel with all the creature comforts necessary for an outstanding family vacation or romantic honeymoon. Costa Rica and Belize are the most popular Central American destinations and both are peaceful countries that welcome tourism.  The weather is warm year round but there is definitely a “green season” which brings higher tempertaures and more frequent heavy rain so contact Linda, our Central America specialist, when it’s time to plan your trip.

Belize is home to one of the world’s largest barrier reefs and offers active adventurers a full range of land and sea activities. The diving and deep sea fishing are world class, you can hike in the lush, dense interior, go caving, raft down a river or explore Mayan ruins. And, when it’s time to slow down, you can pick a lovely quiet stretch of beach and simply relax!

Popular spots include Ambergris Caye, San Ignacio, Placencia and Dangriga and those with a week or more can easily combine a bit of soft adventure with time at the beach.  There are even all inclusive resorts in Belize! So call, email, request a quote or make an appointment to discuss your ideas and questions.

Costa Rica offers an incredible diversity of scenery, climate and vacation experiences in an area about the size of Western Washington or the state of West Virginia. You can find tropical weather and white sand beaches, lush rain forest, a live volcano, mountain scenery and a cooler climate, dense jungles and a cloud forest.

Adventure travelers can mountain bike, hike through one of the many National Parks, go sports fishing, zipline through the tree canopy, whitewater raft a class 4 river, surf some of the best waves in the world or dive with hammerhead sharks and manta rays. Nature lovers will search for the illusive red eyed tree frog or beautiful Quetzal, enjoy exotic butterflies and birds, find sloths in the trees and alligators in the river.

Many vacationers have too little time to see it all, but a very nice itinerary combines a few days near Arenal Volcano or the Monteverde Cloud Forest with some beach time on the Guanacaste Peninsula or near Manuel Antonio or Corcovado National Parks.

Central America’s economy relies heavily on tourism and jobs in tourism are highly sought, so it’s not unusual to find a botanist conducting your nature walk or marine biologist leading your snorkel trip. Area guides are proud of their country and enjoy sharing their special part of the world. So take advantage, ask questions and enjoy the experience!

Accommodations range from basic to luxurious and include traditional hotels, all inclusive resorts, cabanas, lodges and villas. Guided tours are offered for those wishing structure and independent travelers can choose a self drive itinerary or include ground or air transfers in their package.  So call, email, request a quote or make an appointment with a specialist and Get personalized help from a travel expert at no extra cost!
